Sara A Heslington graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Medieval Studies. During her University years, Sara discovered a love for baking and upon graduating enrolled in New York’s French Culinary Institute where she obtained an additional degree in Pastry and Baking.


Over the course of her extensive career in the pastry field Sara has had the opportunity to work in luxury hotels and with top cake designers. She was on the opening team at the Montage, Laguna Beach and The Resort at Pelican Hill. Sara has made several appearances on the Food Network as an assistant to both James Rosselle and Ron Ben-Israel. She also spent time living in Asia as a consultant for a start-up cake company in Chongqing, China helping with recipe and product development.  In 2010 Sara started her own brand and business, Heslington Cakes, that caters to discerning customers from all over Southern California.

For six years she served as an Executive/Personal Assistant to an Ultra High Net Worth family and gained insight into lifestyle management while also assisting with her client’s business and non-profit foundations. Sara also managed several properties, their staff and construction, remodeling and organizing projects.  

In 2016, inspired to begin yet another journey, Sara enrolled in a Masters Degree program in Luxury Hospitality Management at the University of West London. While in London, Sara gained greater exposure to the development of luxury brands as Executive Assistant and Business Manager at Luxury Branding

After graduating with Distinction and being named International Student of the Year, Sara returned to California to develop Heslington Luxury Hospitality LLC.  Combining her experience working in luxury hotels, assisting busy executives and catering to the needs of Ultra High Net Worth families, Sara now focuses on luxury residential project management. Sara is a member of Domestic Estate Management Association. She continues to pursue her passion for pastry through her other company Heslington Cakes.
